ANNUAL CIVIC ASSOCIATION MEETING – new Volunteers needed!

Tuesday, April 17th at 7:30 p.m.
Lombardy Elementary School

It is important that you attend so you can exercise your right to vote for your Board and District Representatives and set dues for the coming fiscal year. The following positions need to be filled – President and Treasurer. John Fulgoney has served as President for two years and Kristen VanDeBoe has served as Treasurer for four years. We need some new volunteers to help fill these roles. Also open for nomination are District Representatives for even-numbered districts to serve for two years. Please email to be nominated for these important offices or for more information about these roles. The current Board is detailed below.

DUES

Your DCA dues for 2017 are $40.00 for general expenses and $10.00 (if applicable to your home) for snow removal. If you have not yet paid your dues for 2017, please deliver your check for these community services to your District Representative. If you have questions, please email . Dues for the coming fiscal year will be set at the Deerhurst Civic Association annual meeting on April 17 as detailed above.

The Annual Meeting of the Deerhurst Civic Association is at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, March 21, 2017 at Lombardy School. It is important that you attend so you can exercise your right to vote for your Board and District Representatives and set dues!

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED AS DISTRICT REPRESENTATIVES

Pitch-in to help your community and sustain house values! Volunteers are urgently needed to serve as District Representatives for District 3 (8 to 14 and 7 to 25 York Road), District 6 (12 to 28 and 9 to 19 Hurst Road), and District 8 (2 to 30 Murphy Road).

Please contact John Fulgoney (fulgoney@gmail.com) if you are willing to serve as a District Representative, so that you may be elected at the March Annual Meeting.

SNOW PLOWING

Yes, we have been lucky so far, but if you live on Jackson, Lone Pine, Peirce, Bedford, Haverford, York or Hurst, please park your vehicles in your driveway before it snows to allow for efficient snow plowing (paid for by your DCA dues!).

STORM DRAINS AND GUTTERS

Be aware that, if there is a storm drain in front of your property, you are responsible for keeping it clear of leaves and other debris. Even if there is no storm drain, you are responsible for the street gutters in front of your property. Please help keep our roads safe and free from flooding!

HOLIDAY DECORATIONS CONTEST

Congratulations to the winners of the Deerhurst Holiday Decorations Contest. “Best Overall” was the Hughes Family at 103 Haverford and “Best Door” was the Gordon Family at 101 Peirce

DEED RESTRICTIONS

Deerhurst is a “deed restricted” community. Deerhurst is divided into three areas and each area has its own set of deed restrictions. If you are planning changes to the exterior of your property, you must first contact Terrence Cahill of the Deed Restrictions Committee to review your plans. Deed restrictions for all Deerhurst properties are on our community website www.deerhurst.org

BEDFORD ROAD PARKING

Residents of Bedford Road have requested that vehicles not be parked on their sidewalks but to reserve them for pedestrians. Please ask lawn contractors etc. to also comply with this request.
